Just Riding Around Looking at Fields
As the 1977 Chevrolet Ad stated: Now that’s more like it!
Warm (Hot) temperatures and lots of wind have dried the fields to the point a cloud of dust trails the planter
Fuzzy photo shot on the fly of the almost ubiquitous John Deere equipment
Planting along 4000N
A little farther west on 4000N
Recently planted field
Corn plants are emerging
Normally, 20 to 40 thousand plants per acre
Not all tractors are green and yellow
More and more Red, Blue, and Yellow are appearing
Cooksville or Hooterville, when you see one of these “Get the heck out of the way” as Bill sagely advised!

Seems maybe you are going from one extreme to a different extreme — wet and cold to dry, hot and dusty. At least you may get more riding in now ;’-).
Very true! And, the monster winds have subsided, 🙂
In Blue Mound Township they refer to that (always via pickup truck, not bicycle) as “crop inspection” as in, “Let’s go crop inspecting and make a stop at Caseys….”
They ‘may’ do that the other way around here. 😉
