Kaffeenierung in Bavaria – Ride 4

Who Needs Flowers –

Today’s ride was again to the Botanical Garden. My annual pass has certainly been worthwhile. We have a light morning fog, and it’s a little cooler than in the past days. I am wearing gloves and a buff under my helmet to keep my ears warm. We take our usual route through the Olympic Park.

The Botanical Garden isn’t just about flowers, particularly in October. It is also about trees. Today we were regaled with all shapes of leaves in all shades of autumn. I even found some mushrooms.

When we finished our walk and photo spree, it was time for lunch. The Botanical Garden’s cafe was almost empty and no one was sitting outside today. I had the traditional Bavarian weisswurst with a soft pretzel and then indulged in a dessert of chocolate cake (which we shared) accompanied by a cup of decaf (which tasted surprisingly good).

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. I have three kids and eight grandchildren - so I'm pretty old. Cycling, photography and walking are my favorite things.

Love those photos of the trees, leaves and mushroom. AND of your lunch. Thank you so much for sharing your outing.
