Looking for Signs of Spring

That is not a sign of spring — hopefully the last we will see for the season

March was a pretty miserable month, cold, wind, rain, and at one point that snow

Riding was limited

Weather finally looking better, and today was 20 degrees above average

Various rides, and photos HERE

Warmth of the Sun is always nice this time of year

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Not snow!! I wish you lots of warmth of the sun from here on ;’-). And lots of happy riding coming up for you as well. I have missed seeing posts from you Rich, and look forward to your neighborhood meanders.

I took one look at that featured photo and decided to go back to bed and pull the blanket over my head!

Henbit? Deadnettle? New plants to me, and how can deadnettle be about to bloom?

Well, now that is a good question! A member of Greg’s zombies maybe?

Ahh, here it is — nettles will sting you to the point you never want to encounter them again — Deadnettle has no stinging hairs, thus Dead/Nettle. Also related to henbit — both in the mint family — both are edible, but Ill take their word for that!

Except for the picture with snow, it looks like everything is turning more or less green.
Looks like that Schwinn has been beautifully restored. Lucky guy who gets it.

Hey, that is a spring sun angle though! My birthday is mid-March and some years my birthday was beautiful and some years it was crappy. In 1979, there was a blizzard and they had to cancel my birthday party. Hope you get beyond one crocus status soon!
