Make Yourself Comfortable, Get a Big Bowl of Popcorn, and Enjoy My New Movie

When I got back from my foray into the countryside yesterday, I discovered a magical land of wind-driven, whirly-swirly blades and vanes and rotors, the likes of which have never been seen before in the Cycle365 Radiation Challenge. Even if I had actually fallen through Lewis Carrol’s looking-glass, I could not have been more surprised by this wonderful Wonderland.

Of course, I had to make a documentary or else nobody would believe that I was wandering around amongst bike riding Irishmen, spinning Greek gods, wild-winged birds of fantasy, cows driving tractors, hallucinatory images . . .

Well, sit back and watch for yourself.

Hi. My name is Greg and I ride my bike a lot. That is to say, I ride my bike almost every day. I go on long rides and short rides. Sunny rides, cloudy rides, and rainy rides. I like commuting, errand-running, day-tripping, overnighting, and touring on my bike. I ride on city streets, highways, gravel, single track, and snow with equal enthusiasm. Sometimes I ride fast and sometimes I ride slow. I try to keep my feet on the pedals at stop lights and I do not dismount when I hop up on a curb. I have a roadie bike, a mountain bike and a touring bike. I try to accept any challenge a bike ride can throw at me without complaint. But I don't like bugs.

I admit it’s pretty unusual for somebody to be the first one commenting on his own post. I just watched the video and I felt like I should head the critics off at the pass. I now realize the bird I identified as a cardinal is actually a parrot.

Sulphur crested cockatoo I’d say. They were cool, I’ve seen them at our garden centres, I’m getting one.

I think you should get extra credit for spinning radiation. šŸ™‚ I remember we used to sell those round kaleidoscope style spinners in our store.

Amazing how fast that Irishman is riding backward, too. You’ve found more than all of us put together, I believe.

Plus, I cheated, had potato chips. šŸ˜‰

Oh wow, you win! I am a little concerned about the tractor about to run over the rooster, though.
