Making the most of another sunny weekend, two in a row: Scarborough Beach, Wildhogs, then West Coast Eagles

Another perfect cycling weekend here, sunny about 23 celcius, blue skies, what more could you ask for. On Saturday I cycled to Scarborough Beach via the city whilst Lovely Wife went craft shopping and Joshi played computer games, everyone was happy. Then on Sunday the Wilhogs rode to Kent St Weir, Cannington along the Canning River, then I Rode from Belmont to Optus Stadium to watch the football.
I’ve managed to ride every day last week to work and back plus two long rides on the weekend so doing well on the personal cycling targets.

I live in the hills just east of the city of Perth, Western Australia and I've loved cycling all my life, From riding to primary school when I was 8 years old to cycle touring as a grumpy old man. Cycling is freedom on two wheels and I love getting on my bike at any opportunity.

This weekend is the start of Car Week here in Monterey……those cars you spotted would add a bit of character to our standard….Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Alpha Romero, Aston Martin, Maserati, RR, Bugatti and this yrs feature Tucker’s but they would fit right in with the cars that have their own show in my city Seaside as part of the week. Concours d’LeMons. Started a few years ago as a play on poor mans concours and now is one of the favorite shows of the week!! I’ll be out and about pouring wine at few events and then on Little Bessie a couple of times and get some photos for you. Always a fun week.

I think I’d be more comfortable with the bombie cars and charity folks than the Maserati crowd. Look forward to some photos of Little Bessie at the Concours d’LeMons and happy wine pouring. Could be a good theme ‘cars and bikes’ for next months challenge.

Glad you’ve had the good weather match up with your days off and you are doing so well with your personal goals! I always have mixed feelings about spring… happy to have a bit warmer and sunnier riding but sad that it also means the intense heat is on its way. At least you have sailing as an alternate activity for those times 🙂

Love spring and autumn, temperature and rainfall just right. Always worried about bushfires in summer although lots of public holidays and annual leave for me then. Some sailing…mmmmm….looking forward to that.

      Hope you’re feeling better

Looked up Optus — telecommunications company — stadiums here have corporate names too — not sure I understand all that.
Anyway, nice weather, beautiful blue ocean! Very enjoyable weekend for you,

Hi Rich, there was much controversy about the stadium’s naming rights being sold to Optus but our state governments going broke so they need every cent. $10 million for ten years, it’s crass consumerism but money talks and makes the world go round they say. I think a cycle to the ocean is the best and will go in for a dip come summer.

You certainly are meeting your goals. Setting a high standard for yourself if you ride every single day. Good going!
