May and a half: the Ottoman bridge at Benje thermal springs

Trees are nice enough, but I seem to still be stuck back in May.  Here’s one really final entry for the May bridge challenge: the Ottoman  Bridge that provided access to the adjacent thermal springs in the Middle Ages.  For a refreshing change, I took the extra effort to include my bike in the photo, as penance for the late submission.  I had to take the photo quickly, since the bike is just propped up temporarily by a pair of stones.

The day ride from Permet   gives more context to the bridge and hot spring.

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

Hi Scott. Bridges always welcome, especially Ottoman bridges, no matter what the month or what the challenge. PS: I’m sending you a kickstand overnight via FedEx.

Yes, May is long-gone. We are almost to the solstice! I enjoyed this day in your journal and thought it such a shame you didn’t have swim gear for the hot springs. I would have been having ‘big splash’ contests with those kids you photographed!
