Monochrome Delayed

Well July was quite a month, which I would rather forget. Alas my father finally lost the fight against dementia and stroke but had a long life and impacted so many people in a positive way. It’s great to see people on this site living life to the fullest, getting out on their bikes and cycling around their towns and some beautiful places.

This photograph was taken of the boatshed for rowing boats on the river south of the city, it’s sort of monochrome-ish. Now to find some interesting trees.

I live in the hills just east of the city of Perth, Western Australia and I've loved cycling all my life, From riding to primary school when I was 8 years old to cycle touring as a grumpy old man. Cycling is freedom on two wheels and I love getting on my bike at any opportunity.

Good to see you back on your bike……..your posts of your Dad on FB were fun to share. Sorry for your loss and I know from experience they are never truly gone and they are always in our hearts. Big hugs…..

So sorry for the loss of your dad. I agree with Janet that they will always be in your heart and often come to mind and you can enjoy those past days. Loss is so very hard though,

Your photo is definitely a fine monochrome. A great shot.

Very sad to hear of your loss — ditto what Janet and Nancy said.

Sorry to hear that your dad has passed. If we can just who he was by the quality of his son, then he did well. He’ll always be with you.

Thank you for your kind comments my dear international cycling soul-mates, I know you would have been there too with the passing of parents. Enjoy life to the fullest I say.
