Monthly challenge. A bike and some clouds

After an almost cloudless week and stinking hot temperatures some clouds rolled in and the temperature plummeted…AAAhhhhh. This photo was taken outside our new hospital with my bike, public art work and some nice stratocumulus clouds, then some rain later.

click here for my previous days ride with a link to my week long cycle tour I completed in October…stay cool folks.

I live in the hills just east of the city of Perth, Western Australia and I've loved cycling all my life, From riding to primary school when I was 8 years old to cycle touring as a grumpy old man. Cycling is freedom on two wheels and I love getting on my bike at any opportunity.

It’s cool now , thank goodness. Swimming pools, air-conditioners and cold beers are the best inventions ever invented.

I agree with Scooter, lots of ‘cool’ photos, always enjoy seeing scenes from Western Australia.
The OYB ride looks like a great time, 130 riders! Thanks for posting the journal. Very enjoyable reading following along.

I’m glad you get something out of my posts Rich, must seem like the other end of the earth to you, which it is I suppose. The OYB was great, I’m planning to go on next years ride too. Stay cool…ooops I mean warm.

Fantastic that you could get out for a tour – nothing beats multiple nights on the road. Hope you can sail on the stinker days and ride on the cooler ones – we’ve set all sorts of records this summer here, and even the born and bred Aussies who complain that it is not ‘summer’ unless it is 35C or more are over it at this point! 5 weeks straight of 40s and upper 30s is just toooooo much!

The heat can sure wear you down. At least here we’ve had some cool days in between.
