Music and Rocks

This is a late entry, very late, for the January theme Rocks. But on March first we had the right weather and I finally got to ride to the site of these glacial erratics that I wanted to show you. To give you an idea how big they are, for a sense of proportion, I climbed up – inspired by Bill, of course. It was very difficult. Next time I’ll do a headstand.

And while I’m at it, I thought Aretha Franklin’s “Climbing Higher Mountains” would go well.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Nice job! You got rocks AND a rock theme tune. You’re making Bill proud. Today a glacial rock pile, tomorrow Mt. Everest!
    Cheers & happy pedaling.

ARETHA–I got nothing but r-e-s-p-e-c-t for that. And your recent head standing efforts are some of the most amazing feats of balance and skill I’ve ever seen.

I’m still working on my form for the headstand, it was kind of hard with my arms stretched out like that.

Glad you could get back to the glacial erratics and share with us – I remember similar scenes in Indiana as a kid. I love to think about what the landscape looked like before and after those events.

Very cool photo, Im a big fan of erratics as you know — usually a great variety of rock types to examine and appreciate.
