My liquid Weekend. Waterfalls, River and Ocean

It seems all you see in the news is heat, drought, fire and smoke these days. Thankfully here its cold and wet during the week then sunny on the weekend, so perfect for my liquid challenge.

Click here for some liquidity (no cash…sorry)

I live in the hills just east of the city of Perth, Western Australia and I've loved cycling all my life, From riding to primary school when I was 8 years old to cycle touring as a grumpy old man. Cycling is freedom on two wheels and I love getting on my bike at any opportunity.

Thanks Rich. I’m glad our winters aren’t as severe as yours or I’d never get out on the bike. The internets long range forecasts and radar images and flexible working hours allow me to get to work and back most days. Always good to get some positive feedback about my journal. I’m a bit lazy when it come to the write up and hope the pictures make up for it. Well a picture tells a thousand words they say. See ya

Great to hear you are doing very well on your ride target and that the weather is sorted to give you good weather on weekends and needed moisture through the week. My brother played alto, tenor and bari sax all through high school – I’m sure it is a really positive thing for Joshi, too. Ah, and even I have heard of the Claremont killer!

Its good to ride the bike to work, a great start to the day. When summer arrives the heat slows me down, especially up the hill. It’s all green here and the farmers are happy, a bit different to what you’re going through I bet. I’m looking at a 7 day tour down south in October so lots of country lane riding coming up. The saxophone is a great instrument and Joshi’s getting into it. He’s got a repertoire of about 6 songs he can do well enough to busk and the people a pretty generous to a young kid to encourage him.

Thankfully these days its getting harder to commit crime and get away with it. I feel for the parents of these poor girls, they’ve at least got closure.

      Happy cycling
