A Record Month
Here in Munich, February weather set records for being the driest, sunniest and warmest for decades. It wasn’t all sunshine though, we did have some snowy and icy days as well. But at the end of the month the mercury climbed to a cyclist friendly 15°C and we opened the touring season with a two-day tour to Scheyern, 50 km to the north of Munich.

    Hi Suzanne,

Just a few minutes ago I sent a message to Scott regarding his post about the beautiful weather they’ve been having in Portland. I asked him to please have a little sensitivity toward the rest of us unfortunate souls on Cycle365. Honestly, I know there are a lot of us unfortunate souls on Cycle365 who are suffering through extreme weather issue–but I was mainly referring to ME.

Believe me, I am happy for you and all of Munich, but, as I look out my window right now, the snow is starting to fall and my back is already hurting at the prospect of shoveling another 3 to 6 -inches of snow.

Wish I could do something about your plight, Greg. But I am sure glad that we don’t have all that snow, even if I don’t have to shovel a driveway.

What a great month, Suzanne! Always great to see the first bulbs emerging and knowing that the colour in the landscape will soon return. Congratulations on getting in a super-early tour, that is just fantastic! I hope March will bring many more days suitable for exploration 🙂

You photos are are great and you rides sound glorious. We have set a record here as well. The most snow and the coldest February in decades!! The past few days have been coming close to making up for that with bright sun, blue sky and temps rising into mid to upper 40s. I plan to be riding a lot!
