October Challenge — sort of

New Giro with Retro Bell bicycle helmet stripes added

Raleigh ready for a short loop ride around south of town

Tote preparing for pick up tomorrow

Soybeans harvested

Corn ready to go

Cardinals Fan — disappointed — maybe next year

And right next door — Blue W left over from Cubs World Series win

And against the wishes and command of Pope Gregory I was surprised to see the following:

Sorry Pope, I just couldn’t help myself  🙁

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Ah, the look of those clouds over that bare soybean field and the dry corn… must be about time for trick or treating. I wonder why ice hockey fans don’t tend to fly flags for their teams? Or basketball? Is it just baseball and football?

Halloween is just several days away — it seems to have grown into popular time to decorate.
Harvest is well beyond normal schedule, lots of grain still in the field.

Good observation and question — maybe in Chicago they fly Blackhawk flags? I dont know. Few if any follow ice hockey around here — never covered on the sports on TV except for the Stanley Cup Finals.
No idea about basketball either — never really gave it any thought — I guess maybe there were some several years ago when the Chicago Bulls were on a rampage — none lately.

(There are some blue flags [with 5 big white letters] being displayed at an alarming rate around here.)

I was glad to see a Cardinals flag in the post. We saw two in Portland last month during our visit but I was too lazy to do a post.
I saw a lot of those 5 letter flags last summer on our tour. Rhymed with slump.
