OMG……..Here Comes The Sun!

It’s been over two weeks since I’ve been on a bike! With Kansas and RAIN since we returned I was starting to feel like I would never ride again. Thankfully that’s not the case. I’m checking in for Cycle Life Challenge and Flora and Fauna 😊

Tall ships are in town again. The Lady Washington, on the left. The Hawaiian Chieftain on the right.
Uptown was so excited to be out!!
Jack researching ship names on the spot. Notice the lack of people on the trail….not long spring breaks are coming. We’re hoping they all go to the snow.
Trader Joe’s was the destination for our purchase. Cauliflower Rice and cabbage. But they have this beautiful tulip tree.
PG Golf Course offered lovely trees and shadows.
Just up the road is this cactus pear…just ripe for the taking.
Said purchase
Lunch bench at the marina. Each bench is named and dated for one of the California Missions.
California Popies starting to bloom along the trail.

I’ve  decided I’m not going with a theme this Challenge just awareness and appreciation of the beauty in my everyday life.

Ride 1…..done.

Janet here of Jack and Janet in Seaside, CA. We just love to ride our bikes and share and read stories from other such afflicted souls.

Glad to see you guys got on your bikes. Hurrah for sunshine! Also in Sonoma County today. Highs in the 70s forecast for the end of the week. Keep on pedaling. PS: Jack looking especially sporty today.

Yea for sunshine!! I know there is some flooding going on around you. Good you’re on high ground.

Nice to see you finally had a gorgeous day and that things are in bloom! But, Trader Joes, why do you have to put the vegetables in plastic?! Such a waste. The big supermarkets do that here, too, but I am lucky to be able to get my fruit and veg at a big market instead of the supermarkets. That’s not an option most of the places I lived in the US.

Nice you could get out for a ride — weather hasnt been cooperating here either — getting better, but had a ‘small dog wind alert for today’ and a ‘large dog wind alert for tomorrow — 50mph with gusts over 60.

We are convinced there is no place better than Monterey Bay in the spring sunshine.

Cactus pears, never seen them eaten but many old Italians here do eat them (with gloves) apparently. I’ve actually got one growing in the back yard.
