On to Mandalay

A new post from a new country – sort of a complaining BLOG entry from Myanmar. Just saying the way it is.

At least a bicycle shot, but what I find interesting is the sidewalk. A sidewalk isn’t meant for walking, there’s no room. You walk in the road, watching out for traffic.

Hope all you wonderful cycle lifers are having a happy holiday season, inspite of extreme heat and severe cold!

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Hope you feel better soon! You’ve been having quite the adventure so far – and no, I wouldn’t want to be on a bike in a lot of those places.

Thanks, Em! No, I don’t think this would be your kind of cycling.

Where you’d end up if you put a foot though the gaps in the footpath is a bit of a worry.

You wouldn’t want to walk with your nose stuck to your smartphone here!

    Enjoy Myanmar.
    Are you going to Bagan?

Sorry to hear you fell ill, glad to see you are improving — hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip.

Always interesting to see bicycles in other parts of the world.

I believe I would pass on the pig-face pie (or whatever that is) too!!

I’m so sorry you’ve fallen ill, Suzanne. What bad luck! I’m sure not sorry you’re posting your trip here though for us to share in. Those photos from Angkor are amazing. I’m especially taken with the one with a mask that looks like it could have come from the Yucatán.
