out before the rain starts

Heavy rain was forecast for early this afternoon, so having a couple of errands to run I managed to get out in what turned out to be a very strong Southerly wind.

This weather beaten wall in Milton village has slowly deteriorated over the last few years.

From Milton it was through Sutton Courtenay to Abingdon to get a little shopping done before aiming for home via Albert Park.

Stone walls and roof of the quaint building just inside the park boundary.

Got home around 30 minutes before the rain arrived, turned very heavy later in the day, so glad I got out when I did.

Distance – 13 miles.

Journey – Solo.

Bike – Dawes Galaxy.

Nice walls and buildings. We seem to have similar weather, and it is always so nice to just beat the rain home!

Always good to get home before the rain starts — so far so good on that issue for me.
Interesting photos, the wall particularly. The Dawes is a great looking bicycle, although I believe you said it had some issues.
Are some of those trees deciduous? Lots of green on them.

Yeah, good bike now all of the issues have been sorted.

The park named after Albert husband of Queen Victoria, has a large number of mature specimen trees.

If a monthly challenge in the future has trees or parks as its theme I will certainly be returning here.
