Out of Line

What’s my line? I don’t really understand the Challenge of the Month for September. In addition, I’ve been busy trying not to fall off the Ogre while pedaling up and down steep, bumpy trails; too busy to look for lines or rows or columns or queues or phalanxes. So I have nothing new to offer, only a lineup of photos from the past that might — maybe — qualify as getting in line. I guess I’m, as usual, out of line.

Old Grumble-Face in line with three lovely ladies from France
In line behind slow-moving traffic being led by a pilot car on Highway 1
Proving that I’m faster than a line of stationary freight cars
Not only a row of fence posts, but also row after row of grape vines
Don’t fence me in
A row of charcoal kilns above Death Valley
Saguaro cacti, all in a row (but bisected by the dirt road)

All in all, the difference between success and failure with this month’s challenge is a very fine line indeed. Meanwhile, as David Byrne once said, “Everybody get in line!”

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

You’re not fooling anyone, old guy. You get it. Great shots especially of the kilns and cacti.

Old Grumbleface and the French gals, ooh la la.
Riding behind the cement truck, ooh la scary.
    Grape vines, ooh la tipsy.
    Death Valley, ooh la HOT!
Saguaros, ooh la spiney skin punctures.

I have an ooh la for every occasion.

p.s. It seems the rules for these challenges are pretty lax. If ever I am in charge, the rules will be strict and any violators will be called out immediately.
