PATTERNS?

I think my problem is knowing what a ’pattern’ is. I think of a pattern as something made by selectively placing things, and I don’t consider randomly placed things a pattern. So I have a few here that I know are patterns, and a couple are are ”iffy”. You tell me.

I first saw these stones that I do not consider in a pattern, but it called my attention to the short wall which does have a pattern.

Part of this next wall has a pattern…

I will post the remaining photos I took today and hit or miss are bound to get a pattern or three.

I don’t see this stone one as a pattern but I liked it.

I had to be quick on this next one as a dog started barking at my presence.

The next one sorta kinda has a pattern but it is so random that I am not sure I can call it a pattern.

One last photo for the day … a distant wind sock…

This will be my last ride for several days as we drive and then visit, drive, visit elsewhere, and drive to our camping outing. I have no expectation of many riding opportunities, but I will take them when then come. ;’-).

Yes, all agree with Greg — Patterns are patterns Some patterns have a pattern, others don’t
Just posted Abstract and Asymmetrical patterns — having read up on the topic, I’m more bewildered and confused than I was before

Great photos — Blocks and bricks I do get 🙂 The Vitruvian Man I do not

Nice photo of the Ford Edge BTW 🙂

I didn’t read all about what you posted that you had researched,, but I KNOW it would have been way too far over my head — Vitruvian Man included!!!! And of course I was never good at things abstract. Asymmetrical works.

I am simply happy that my patterns are patterns ;’-).

You got some really beautiful patterns. I like the picture with the round rocks and square bricks next to each other with same colors.
