Petaluma

I planned to ride today, taking a long loop toward Petaluma, which is only about ten miles south of Santa Rosa. My loop, however, would amount to about 65 miles. Not a direct route! Only about ten percent of the ride would be through terra incognita, but I’d be assembling the pieces of roads in a fresh pattern to maintain my interest.

Just as I was smooching my ace support crew goodbye, she reminded me about our prior social engagement for the evening. Oops. Forgot about that. I adjusted by throwing the Ogre in the back of the Forester and driving downtown to the Big Fish at the start of the Greenway. That would cut about 12 miles off the ride, making it easier to get home by the deadline.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Great ride, write-up, and photos, as always.
Yikes on coming upon the accident, sounds like a bad one. 🙁
