Queen’s Birthday Party

How do three Yanks celebrate the Queen’s Birthday public holiday in Australia? Well, we went for a ride, of course. We picked up our remaining unridden tracks in one section of the Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park. We also enjoyed the last of the sunny, clear weather for the week. Read more at the link below.

Queen’s Birthday Party (not really, but, well, you know)

Nerdy chick in Australia who loves to ride and is accompanied by the crew: 'The Commander' Verne and the 'Mental Health Specialist' Kermit.

Thanks, Rich. The guy was just being obnoxious, not aggressive, so I felt it was safe to hold my ground. If he had tried to run me off the road, I would have vacated into the forest at first opportunity and taken down his number plate. Best wishes for your riding partner – nerve-related issues can be hard to pin down and fix!

Great read, as always. Thanks for taking us along. Had to laugh at the exchange with the Ute driver. When encountering unpleasant drivers, I fantasize my look sends knives into their tires, like in a comic book illustration.
Good to hear your weather has been holding so long, and soon longer days to come.
Btw all your verticle pics are shown horizontally. Can you rotate them?

Thanks, Suzanne. Hmmm… the pics show up vertically on my Windows computer and on my phone. What are you using to look at the page – a tablet or an iphone? I don’t have those to test with and they look ‘correct’ on the tech I have. I wonder if anyone else has the same issues?

Yes, they appear as Suzanne described here too.

Thanks, Rich and Suzanne. I think I’ve got the issue fixed. My tech must automatically ‘right’ the pictures. Based on the ones that don’t look right in the library (it is of course not all, but just some), I think it has to do with my internet dropping out between loading and saving the images in the correct orientation. I had lots of trouble uploading that last post, so I think that is why. I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks for letting me know, so I could try to fix it! (And never try to duplicate what Oz does in relation to internet stuff – our country is terrible for reliable, fast connections!).

Beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. That sunset photo should be an award winner!

Thanks, Scott. The sunset varies a bit each day, but that was a good one. That photo was taken with my crappy phone, too!
