I had forgotten about the number of rides challenge so am starting that now with re-naming my last post to include ‘Ride #1’.

That means today was ride #2 ;’-). It started as a utilitarian ride (which I don’t intend to include in the number of rides for the challenge), but ended up being a solo ride around my area.

I am probably not going to be posting much, if any, for the Clouds Challenge, and here is an example of why…

I find it difficult to get my bike in a good spot for taking decent photos of clouds. And…

…by definition, clouds are synonymous with Seattle. We have clouds a lot, and mostly they are part of a very grey sky which makes them not stand out very much. There are no floating fluffy beautiful clouds passing in a deep blue sky — at least not at this time of year. Our mountains are beautiful though. Those are the Olynpics.

But I will be enoying day rides when I can and will include some photos and stories of those rides when there is anything to take a photo of or tell a story about ;’-). In the mean time, my new knee high socks and I had a great ride today.

I am known for my knee highs and have quite a collection of them, and people cannot resist giving me a pair now and then as a gift. These festive socks were a Christmas gift. I may need to post others periodically so you see what I mean by ‘collection’. Thank you all for reading ;’-).

I know! That photo I had of the clouds over the US entailed considerable climbing, and no way could I get my bicycle in the photo too! 😉

Seriously, will look forward to other photos of rides, clouds or not.

Wow – now those are some great leggings! Glad you have had some rain free days (at least partial days) for rides.

I do have some interesting “leggings” and wear them all the time while cycling. Keep my legs warmer in the cold, shield them from too much sun in the warm.
Thanks for reading and commenting Em.
