RIDE # 45: 06 APRIL 2019

Greetings all.

I haven’t been on my bike very much over the past month.  In part because it has been either very hot or very wet.  There were a few mornings where I went back to bed rather than ride out into the rain.

There was a three-day credit card tour between my last post and this one.

The #Freshlegs Tour

Today’s ride was a Cycle Life Challenge 2019 outing.  A ride around the ‘hood and breakfast at the end.  I had planned to watch the start of the Tour de Langkawi from in front of the PETRONAS Twin Towers but I got out of bed too late.

Bean Brothers at The LINC is a hundred metres from home.

I hear that avocado prices have spiked in the United States.  Not yet in Malaysia.

I didn’t order extra milk with my latte.  That is a couple of litres from the supermarket upstairs to take home.

Weather seems to be an issue almost everywhere. Finally warming up here, but snow has been mentioned for next weekend! ???
Looks like a great tour. Lots of enticing food too!
Up until your previous post, I had no idea what AlchemyRider might mean — I thought you were converting tin into gold or something. 🙂

Hi Rich. I hope you don’t get ay more snow.

“Yes” you have cracked the reason for the AlchemyRider name. Though I do wish I was converting base metal into gold!

That looked like a really hard three-day ride. Beautiful but exhausting! Even when healthy, I get where I need to go, or stop early, once the temps get over 35C (and that is a dry 35C). I just don’t find it fun after that. And I really only ride because it is fun. Maybe you are stealing all of Darwin’s monsoon moisture. They’ve been having a very dry wet season overall. Hope you get better riding weather soon!

Great to hear from you again! That three-dayer looks like a killer, alright. That photo of the tea plantation though – oh my gosh, that’s beautiful!
