Ride Down 7th Street

As the Raleigh was being readied for yet another excursion down 7th street (which quickly becomes county road 1550E) an assembly of turkey vultures swarms overhead.  Trying to photograph them all at the same time is about like trying to herd cats, but here is the attempt!

Suzanne may appreciate the photo.  🙂

Headed south on 1550E at this point

The stroller seen on a previous ride is working its way downstream.

That is an early 50’s small grain drill resting alongside the barn.

Somewhat better photo of it — a little trespassing may have been involved here.  😉

Across the road from the barn and drill.

Farther south on 1550 this sign appeared alongside a field!

Back in town at a body shop, this piece awaits restoration????

Mega Millions draw is tonight — hope they have a winning ticket!

So concludes this ride/challenge.

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Now I need to convince my ace support crew to tell her brothers to switch seed suppliers!

I remember seeing those Centennial Farms signs in several states I rode through… and I always wondered how different life would feel to be so connected to one place and to have a multi-generational connection to a place. My paternal great-grandparents were farmers, but that is where it ended in our family.
