Seasons change

We got good rain over the weekend which made the gravel roads very fast to ride today. I made good on a promise to take the guys up to Reedy Creek for a float. You can check out all the float action and the seasonal change in Reedy Creek here: https://rambleoutyonder.org/2020/07/13/shifting-july-ride-2-untethered/

Nerdy chick in Australia who loves to ride and is accompanied by the crew: 'The Commander' Verne and the 'Mental Health Specialist' Kermit.

Yes, we definitely have a distinct wet and dry season here. The past two winters have been very dry and no flows like that for some time.

Enjoyed the videos! Kermit going over the knickpoint was an interesting ride!
He may have had to make use of his aquatic skills.

Yes, I think Kermit is a natural 🙂 The water was too shallow for Verne though – he’s heavy enough he would have kept getting caught on stuff and not getting anywhere. Kermit is light enough to skim over or bounce off a lot of obstacles.

Glad you’re getting some rain and outdoor cycles. Hope Victoria gets on top of the virus, it’s going to be a battle

Getting some rain but not enough. We’re still below average and getting heaps of really nice, clear winter days (that always line up with the work week with the colder, cloudier days lined up to the weekends). Yeah, amazing how the virus could spring back to life just from 3 security guards doing the wrong thing. No cases up here yet, let’s hope it stays that way.
