Smoke and Art, part 2

Today marked the thirteenth consecutive day in Santa Rosa (and the Bay Area) with the Air Quality Index in the “unhealthy” range or worse. That’s a record.

However, the weather prognosticators finally forecast the wind would kick up today and clear out most of the smoke ahead of a big rain storm moving in tonight, which would really wash the air clean. I’ll be glad to have clean air again, but replacing unhealthy air with rain still means no good riding weather. That made me very determined to get in a ride after the air quality improved but before the rain arrived.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

You certainly made up for lost time with that great catch of pictures! Hope you get rain! 🐸

Those are some beautiful murals. The horse is something else too –Thanks!
Hope the air is clearing up — now Butte country has a flash flood watch — go figure.
    Tolay soon! 🙂

(spotted the first Lucy, not the second one in the last photo) No Points 🙁

A definite maybe — is she facing away from the camera?

Yep. One at far left of photo, one in white chef’s hat just to the right of Daphne’s butt. Everyone knows Lucy, but most visitors to the City Hall courtyard are puzzled by the naked woman sprouting branches. Not nearly as many statues from Greco-Roman mythology in town as there are Peanuts characters. 😉

Mythology has always been a mystery to me! I had to look up Daphne, and Apollo and all that, got instantly lost!
Apollo would be facing several lawsuits today. 😉

That is a whole lot of gorgeous street art! Hard to pic a favourite, but if I ever own a home, I would love to have a mosaic of some sort in the garden.

Great art around you. I love ‘old’ or made to look old paintings and ads on brick buildings. I think you have had at least some rain now and hope you air is now breathable for all!
