Sonomarin

Up the road in Yreka important family business was in progress, but in Santa Rosa there wasn’t much I could do about it except maybe boil some water.

To pass the time, I drove out to the crossroads known as Two Rock and parked at the church. From there I pedaled toward the coast to Fallon, a tiny patch of habitation with approximately two houses and a broken-down mobile home. From there I meandered up and down rural roads from ranch to ranch, sometimes with a big headwind, sometimes a big tailwind. On this route I crossed between Sonoma County and Marin County several times, which is why I refer to the expedition as Sonomarin.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Congratulations to the parents of the little one and to the grands and such. I love the picture above…only see brown grass here when it’s dead and ugly, but out there it is beautiful. Looks like you had the roads to yourself on this ride.

Congratulations to all! You always find such interesting places to ride. The photo with the skeleton was surreal. Like something in a movie.

    Welcome, Rose! Congrats, Bill!

Looks like that was a really nice ride and always good to have the tailwind on the way back!

Happy Grandpa time Bill. In such a brown and somewhat barren area, you find the best for photos. All very nice. That animal (deer?) skeleton is rather amazing. All the bones staying tougher as within a live body!

Another fine batch of pictures — especially the last one. So cute, and her face is not at all grumbly.

Thanks to all. No visitors allowed at the hospital due to covid concerns, so we missed delivery but heading up tomorrow for a few days. Trying to decide if I should take Rosie a Troll or an Ogre… 😉
