The New York Times crossword puzzle for 10/31/2018. Olaf shows up here on the regular but its coincidence with  Greg’s post is too coincidental to be coincidental. What have you been up to Greg?

    Hi Goddess,
I’m pretty sure the N.Y. Times Puzzle editor read my last post and thought, “hmmmmm, St. Olaf, I just HAVE to get that somewhere in the upper left corner of the next crossword puzzle.” And he did it.

Actually, I do the New York Times Crossword almost every day and I’ve seen “St. Olaf” or just “Olaf” is an answer several times. I always get that one right–especially if I already have o l – f

I am glad we don’t get the New York Times crossword – I wouldn’t get the Olaf answer. I’ll stick with the Melbourne Age for my crossword. They run a level of cryptic clues I can handle.
