START & FINISH + SNOWMAN & HEADSTAND

I begin many of my rides from my driveway. On this day I would ride to the club ride abut 7 miles away to join Cindy on a ‘social pace’ jaunt.

Geared up and ready to go…

I was bushed after what turned out to be a very long ride — to the start, on the route with some climbs, and back home. Phew. At least Cindy keeps her rides as close to ‘social pace’ as she can, even if at the upper end of that pace. ;’-)

Home at last… and one last climb!

Thanks to Em’s idea, here is my snowman (or snowpeople) and head stand. It is a good thing I found them out there playing as even if we got tons of snow (which doesn’t happen except for a year ago) I would not be able to copy this challenge entry ;’-).

Have not quite gotten them all yet, but there is still time ;’-).

Well done! I especially like the snowman headstand. I keep meaning to try and see if I can still do a handstand, but don’t want that attempt to end up in a 9-1-1 call. How would I explain what I was attempting to the paramedics without being completely embarrassed at the failed attempt? I think I’ll leave those successful headstand pics to Mr. Garceau. Cheers & happy pedaling.

Me too Hopkins — Greg is welcome to all headstand stunts ;’-)

You get an award for “cutest snowmen” and for “best headstand by a snowman.”

You are oh so kind oh King of copy catting and headstands. I KNOW these are the only snowmen and headstand snowman in the entries — but still, what an honor ;’-0

Nice snowman photo! All the green looks very good to me.

I like the green better than I would like a lot of white!

Thanks Em. You know that is why I seldom join group or club rides. But I can usually trust that Cindy will be reasonable.

“Social pace”! I like that. On our last bicycle club tour I was looking to the right and to the left and enjoying the scenery as usual, when all of a sudden I noticed no one was in sight except for the sweeper who was patiently trailing me! I then put the e-support on the highest level and pedaled like mad.

It is a pet peeve with me that social pace (supposedly 10-12) is in the eye of the leader who many many times rides faster than that (the advertised pace) and I am not one who likes a faster pace (with or without eAssist!).

Im with you, I like to just muddle along and enjoy the ride and whatever might happen to appear.
        I could have a carbon fiber machine, but 8mph is 8mph. 🙂

My kind of riding Rich. Wish we lived closer to each other and could meander around enjoying life on the saddle!
