Tasmanian Coffeeneuring #5 – via Four Springs Lake

I completed Coffeeneuring #5 this week and the story can be found HERE

A quick note re Junk Collecting.  I tried to mount a crate on the rear rack of the Magnum but it amplified road noise too much.  Instead I found a bag I can hang on the seat post.  A trial on a run to Bishopsbourne netted several cans, plastic bottles and two glass bottles on the way.  These I dumped in a bin while watching a few minutes of the women’s cricket match on the green.  A very well attended event with spectators cars parked all round the oval.  I managed to squeeze in with the trike for a little while.

On the return journey we were being blown along so the speed was much higher and stopping for rubbish not fitting in wth the moment.  I did, however, pick up one can and one glass bottle during a slower, uphill section.

It looks like the bag will be the way to go.  More info next week.

The Art Challenge – well, not much art around here !!!!

    Nice ride and photos!
The Wind Chill temp was -15C or so this morning, so put off a ride for a while.
The Push-me/Pull-me’s seem similar to the lovebugs in the southern US
Glad the sprocket change-around worked out well, if anyone can get something bass-ackwards, its me!

Two good rides Tony. Thanks for your service. I liked your double vision experience.

Good on you, Tony for all of the rubbish collection and keeping up the pursuit even when you’ve had to redesign collection gear! This looks like a beautiful ride, but I could feel the wind 🙂 I am glad you get a spring in Tasmania – I think spring here should really just be called “early summer” or “pre-summer”.
