The Keritis Bridge

My first, possibly only submission for the May Bridge Challenge. There don’t seem to be many noteworthy bridges in Crete, and it took some research to ferret this one out. I’m grateful to Bill for posting this challenge, because I would have missed this bridge otherwise.
Not too impressive from the road surface, and there’s nothing obvious to indicate it’s worth walking down the small trail for a view from below.
Here is an article about the bridge. And here is the blog for the day – a brilliant ride through the high country of Western Crete.

What a gorgeous bridge – getting ‘under’ to get a shot is the hard part on a lot of bridges! Glad your trip is going well!
Thanks, Navigator! The trip’s going great, alright. I can never quite believe that we’re getting to do this again. My arthritic knees give me a bit moor grief year by year, and I wonder how many more of these we’ll get away with without changing the formula.
Take care, we hope to hear of you out on the trail again soon.
Scott
Very nice bridge!
By the way, I updated the Challenge to clarify that ALL bridges are welcome: http://cycle365.life/cycle365-challenge-of-the-month/
That’s a very pleasing bridge Scott. Thank you for heading down to the bottom for the image. That sandstone colour really adds something.
