The Lone Bike Series

I have been photographing bicycles like crazy this winter, as a kind of surrogate for not riding them. I have already posted a bunch of bicycle bells. Below are two photos from my series of the Lone Bicycle. I have an album with a few more on Flickr, but I will be posting some more here, too.

The first one is in downtown Munich in the pedestrian zone. At least one place where the cars aren’t all over the place and in the way of getting a good shot. The fresco on the wall is typical Bavarian. Come to think of it, there were some cars in the way and that’s why I framed the shot with only part of the wall painting. But I like it that way.

Below is a recent capture, also in the pedestrian zone of Munich. It seems pigeons like bikes, too.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. I have three kids and eight grandchildren - so I'm pretty old. Cycling, photography and walking are my favorite things.
