The REAL Teaneuring #5

I have worked for this. Almost got foiled again, but NO I said, I am NOT going to THAT Peet’s. So I turned around and rode the other way until l found the real one.

Not only did I get a real Sencha loose leaf tea, I got a scrumptious cranberry and walnut scone.

So good, I didn’t leave a crumb…

I found a couple of Halloween houses while meandering on the route…

And this entry to a park was rather cute…

So now — off to finish those final little things to pack and then head home. Next time here I will definitely try for a visit to Boba Tea, which was again not open in time for me today. I have in mind to try for #6 in Oregon on the way home. Not sure I can pull it off, but worth a try.

Since we returned from Ireland last February, I’ve tried recipe after recipe trying to make a scone similar to what we had all over Northern Ireland and the rest of that island. I have not succeeded. Nothing wrong with any I’ve made, but they don’t come close to those we had over there. The one you bought on this ride looks delicious! Have enjoyed reading about your rides while on vacation.

Thank you Laura, it has been fun hunting around in a new place and sharing the experience. Not only have I become a tea snob, I may well be a scone snob! I have had bad ones and good ones and this one was superb! I have, on occasion had what someone has called a scone that was nothing like a scone! I have never tried making scones as I am not a baker (nor a cook for that matter). We are on the way home and I won’t have quite as many rides to write about, but at least two more teaneuring experiences.
