Thinking of Vincent – Cycle Days Challenge

This July was one of the five hottest since temperatures have been recorded here. It’s still hot, the thermometer showing 32°C, and going strong into August. For us anything around 30°C is very hot. So I have stayed home the last few days instead of pedaling. Am I being sensible or just lazy?

So far I have completed 73/100 bicycle days: 0 in January, 1 in February, 8 in March, 15 in April, 21 in May, 14 in June and 14 in July.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Beautiful photo, Suzanne, but — unlike Vincent — hang on to both your ears! 😉

I sure will hang onto my ears! Especially since I have pretty expensive hearing aids in them.

    That IS a beautiful photo!
Schools are just now starting summer vacation? Wow!
Great collection of photos from your July rides — just 27 more to go, lots of time left.

In Bavaria summer vacation starts late – which is nice since holiday destinations aren’t so crowded any more.

Wouldn’t mind some warmth here, I could just get in the car and drive 1200kms north I suppose. In the really hot weather I just get up really early and cycle then.

To get good cycling weather, getting up a few hours earlier would probably be easier for me than driving 1200 kms north for you! Why don’t I do it?
