Three Lakes

Given the Challenge of the Month for August—liquid—it seemed appropriate to visit three lakes today.

We’re lucky to have three lovely parks that adjoin each other practically in the middle of Santa Rosa, comprising a quiet island of lakes and trails. It’s easy to start at one end of Annadel State Park, ride up the trails and fire roads, circle Lake Ilsanjo, descend to Spring Lake Regional Park, pedal around that lake on pavement or dirt, then continue on a paved path to the contiguous city park at Howarth Lake.

So that’s what I did today.

Beautiful ride — as you said a great area of connected parks not many other cities enjoy.
News here said the faint haze high in the sky is smoke from the CA fires.

Hi Rich. Sorry for sending smoke your way, but we have plenty available for export if anyone needs some. 😉

I love the selfie in the mtn lion sign! That trail looked pretty rough and rocky – I’m sure the Ogre loved it. My crew are very much in love with the kayak picture – they think it would be pretty awesome to be tethered to the kayak in their floaties and then go for a float around the lake!
