Totally flagged

Well, here’s luck of a sort.  We found another pair of flags flying low enough to work well with the bike.  And it was really lucky that the wind was so strong that they’re blowing out like sheets of cardboard.  The flag on the left is the national flag of Spain, and the other is for Castilla y León, the Spanish region in Northwest Spain we’ve been touring for the past ten days.

Not so lucky though is that they’re blowing the wrong way, and did so all day long.  You should appreciate that I made the extra effort to struggle over to the flagpole with the bike to take this shot, because I was pretty well flagged out at this point and we still had another 15 miles to go yet.  I was especially careful propping the bike so it wouldn’t blow over.

if you like mountain villages full of unique character, check out our ride to La Alberca.  If not that, there’s a good peanut butter story in it for you too.

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

Nice photos! I had the same problem with flags flying the wrong way, so I thought, well, just use your photo editor and flip them — wrong! My medieval photo editor hasnt heard of such an action.

LOL@the peanut butter incident! I assume it must have been Skippy. 🙂
