Traveling Cyclists …

Some by bike, some not.

Today we were able to meet up again with crazy guy Bill Weir, whom we first met in Bangkok in 2008. Bill saw in FB that we were in Bangkok where he is spending the month of December. What a happy coincidence to again be in the same place at the same time.

Bill is still traveling in Asia extensively by bike and publishing on cgoab, and is also an avid photographer. There is hardly a spot in Asia where he hasn’t rolled his wheels. I am sure many of you know his journals.

We were able to meet for coffee this morning before Janos and I fly to Cambodia.

Long live bicycle friendships!

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

That is so special that you found each other again for some friendly time together. Always a highlight when that happens.

Thanks for cluing me in on Rick Steves. I’ve been away from the US for so long, I had to Google who he is.

How great to be able to catch up with a fellow touring cyclist! Good to hear he is still out there riding – I haven’t been anywhere near the crazy guy in a couple years, so nice to see an update 🙂
