Tree In A Truck

Or, is that a truck around a tree?  Truck is circa 1952.

Nice ride southeast of town this morning to Heaton, Illinois, which is comprised of a grain facility and a church, — maybe 2 houses.  A mile to the west I came across this interesting sight.

(Note the upgrade to Ice Mountain water from previously carried IGA)  😉

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

    Hi Rich,

Cool tree, even cooler truck. Is the Ice Mountain really an upgrade? I honestly don’t know. All the bottled water tastes the same to me.

Well, the Chief Executive of the household thinks so, so I tend not to engage that point. 🙂
Actually, they are both spring waters, which to me are way better than the purified stuff.
IM from Michigan, IGA from western Illinois.

Assuming that truck is around a 1952, and lasted for a decade or more, the tree must have started up in it in the 60’s or early 70’s. I wonder if that was intentional or it just happened.

That’s a sight to behold, Rich. Did you look up in the branches for a carburetor or at least a fan belt?
