WEEK 1 OF MARCH RIDE PHOTOS

I don’t (and won’t) normally post two in a row like this, but I have fallen behind here. Again… these are also on my blog.

Our neighborhood Stump that changes with the season or holiday.

Better photo of the stump…

Fences call to me.
One of several beautiful old barns we rode by on our country ramble in The Skagit.

Photos of the Snow Geese are on the blog, and I posted one here the other day. It was an awesome experience to watch those birds.

Shiny hub on Boars Head truck called for a selfie.

My ride on this day (3/6) was close in and short as I have trip preparations and packing to do. I was not going to post any photo for the day, then this came to me so it makes a good one for me to recall the ride, and why break the string of ride photos 😉.

We will be leaving on Monday for Northern California to visit the Grands who have moved there with their parents. I am hopeful for some sun and WARM riding. BUT — the forecast we are seeing is for rain the first couple of days we are there. And here of course, we are due for sun and warmer temps. We will be gone for just about two weeks, but don’t worry (and I know you would) — I will continue to post here 🤗.

Have a great trip Nancy!! I know you’ve missed being with the family. That one picture of green grass and blue sky certainly meets the challenge of the month. Great job!

Thanks Laura, we are looking forward to seeing them, but I must say that getting ready for an extended (two week) trip is not exactly fun. In addition to the packing (and deciding what to take to warmer clime), I insist that the house be totally cleaned before we leave so that it is oh so nice to return to at the end of the trip ;’-). Unpacking and laundry are enough chores for the after-trip thing!

I had not thought of that photo you mention as meeting this month’s challenge — good thought, thanks

Again, nice pictures for the week, Nancy. Good idea for a selfie! Have a good trip and I hope you have some warm and sunny days!

Thanks Suzanne. See my reply above to Laura 😏 about getting ready to leave. I will be posting here — and blogging along the way ;’-).

    Great photos, especially the selfie.
Have a good visit in CA!

      Thanks Rich.
I am really looking forward to getting away, and to seeing different people!! I think I am saturating the very few that I see (basically Cindy, but Susan must need a break from my undivided time as well!). I need to spread myself out a little so that others get smaller doses of me and my idiosyncrasies 😏.

For all the weather challenges, you certainly got in some good rides. I would be so thankful for the stump people to brighten the first ride each month with a new theme. The Skagit ride looked really good – if it’s not hills, it’s wind. But you still seemed to have had a really good day. Enjoy the grandkids – I’m so glad people can start seeing their families again. I still have no idea when I’ll be able to see mine 🙁

I do love the stump people and their success in entertaining us ;’-). I feel very fortunate to have been able to carve out times for riding with the unsettled weather we had. Thanks for the good wishes. It is such a treat to see family after so long, and I hope you will get to see yours before way too much more time.
