Well What the Heck!!!!!

I know we…well I’ve, complained a bit about traffic on the bike trail lately. So,I thought I would share this text I just received from Jack😊😊

Hello where did you learn to drive a tour bus?!

These two lanes are on the rectrail. Have no idea how he did this?

There he goes!!

Think someone is explaining things to him. About twenty feet in front of his is a three foot cement post in the middle of the trail to keep this from happening. The direction he came from has no post as it is a drive off of a driveway into a building. Not sure how he made the turn….I’m thinking this was his first trip to Monterey.

Sorry I missed it I’m still recovering from Christmas flu. I was down for two days. Tomorrow I’m back on the trail!!

Happy Trails……

Janet here of Jack and Janet in Seaside, CA. We just love to ride our bikes and share and read stories from other such afflicted souls.

Sorry you have that flu bug Janet. It went through at least 16 of the adult (and all of the 6 children) family members who attended two weekends of family gatherings. I am not counting my chickens, but so far I have been spared!!! Should not jinx it by writing that, but oh well, now it is written.
    That bus is a puzzle!!!

That sounds almost like the time 15 of 19 of us were struck with food poisoning at my nieces graduation 😳😳😳

Drivers name Corrigan by any chance?
Lassen Tours website does mention they go to the most interesting places — the RecTrail must be one of them. 🙂

The good thing is that most professional coach and truck drivers ARE very good at backing up. Nigel has driven all sorts of coaches, heavy combination trucks, etc over 35 years. He can back up ANYTHING on a dime. We once drove down this bush track that got narrower and narrower, until eventually the bushes were touching the car. Then the track ended. Nowhere to turn around. He backed the station wagon back up two kilometres of track and never once had to reposition the car! He also takes great pleasure at caravan/RV parks watching people try to back in their trailers into non-pull through sites – I told him he should just charge $10 a pop, since he could do it in under 30 seconds 🙂
