Let’s start with the kilometer thing. My birthday is on July 16 but I had no time anywhere near that date to try for an 80 kilometer ride. I mentioned my wish of doing that to a few of my riding buddies and they were keen to join me, but we had to do it on August 1st.

More of the short story…. Adventureswithnancyg@blogspot.com

Lookie what I found on this ride…

Now I feel I have totally completed Rich’s scavenger hunt challenge ;’-).

Next part is the food challenge for August: BUT — I am having no success in adding photos here and keep getting a strange message the “updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” What the heck does that mean. Will try posting just this and see what happens.

What? You don’t know what a JSON Response is? I thought EVERYONE knew that, but here it is: JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) is a standard text-based format for representing structured data based on JavaScript object syntax.

Better? Actually, I’ve never heard of it either, and I’ve never gotten an error message like this. Is it still happening?

And, btw, the link to your blog didn’t work.

And, btw – you biked 80 km? That’s awesome! Congratulations!!

        Hi Nancy,
My email isnt working so well, but I did get your Q — it wont let me reply.

What I use is an ancient, and I mean ancient, photo editor called PhotoStudio2000.
It does lots of stuff, 98% of which I have no idea how to use, and it is no longer supported — Imagine that!
But it does do lines and text and cropping, and that pretty much my limit!
Bill may be a better person to ask, he is a wizard at modifying photos.

Thanks Rich. Anyone who uses an app to add lines, words and other modifications to their photos — will you share with me what the app is that your use? Thanks.

I just use the photo editor provided by Microsoft for free when I bought my laptop. You have to draw your own lines and write your own words and it’s a painstaking process. It’s almost like using an etch-a-sketch, if you remember that thing.

The barn quilt is a great find in your part of the country. Here in the mid-west, they’re everywhere.
