A B C-onclusion

Reprise of the Pretty Little Roadside Dolly

Placed her on the bridge rail hoping Stacey would see and recover her

No such luck, and besides she kept falling off, the dolly, not Stacey, whose whereabouts are still unknown

Update 12/29/21  The Pretty Little Roadside Dolly has been rescued by someone — at any rate, she is no longer at the bridge  🙂

So following are the remaining December challenge photos taken at various times throughout the month:

Chimbley Challenge

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

I’m a native of Iowa–at least that’s where I lived from 4th grade until I graduated high school. (Yes, despite evidence to the contrary, I am a high school graduate.) As such, I never get tired of seeing Casey’s General Stores photos on Cycle365 and on touring journals that go through the Midwest. For some reason, though, I haven’t posted a Casey’s picture of my own. I’ll fix that next time I go down to Iowa since Casey’s hasn’t made its way up to the Twin Cities yet.

P.S. Most of the Casey’s stores in Iowa have been remodeled to fit the company’s updated image. I noticed the remodeling hasn’t made it to Hoopeston yet.

Small town mid America would be lost without our Casey’s — they began in Boone, IA as I recall.

They are presently building a 3rd Casey’s here, at Truck Stop at the intersection of Illinois Routes 1 and 9.
What happens to the two existing Casey’s is anyone’s guess, each one says the other one will be closed.

Heading that direction in a few minutes, will try to get a photo. Photo uploaded.

This post contained two superfluous log-in/registration forms. Don’t know why they were here, but I removed them.

I may have created that issue by having to click on registration button below the regular log in: Name and Password — thats the only way I’ve discovered to get logged in.

Rich, our Incident Response Team should be arriving at your door in Hoopeston soon. Don’t worry. The re-education process is usually fairly painless….

Warning: They won’t have a h** of a lot to work with. 😉
