A Bit More Water

Today was a beautiful day weather-wise, with temps close to 70, no wind to speak of, and just a few puffy clouds in the sky. The weather for the next two days calls for cold and rain, with a winter storm watch in place for tomorrow night. So, today was definitely the day to ride. I had mentioned in a comment on another post that I was struggling to find some good sounds that were not water-related. Well I tried, but in the end, water won out. Perhaps there is just something about the sound of moving water, be it a trickling brook, gentle rainfall, waves washing in on a beach, or a series of waterfalls. There’s just something so soothing about those sounds. Anyway, I visited this little set of falls, and couldn’t pass it up. And for good measure, I even remembered to include my bike in the video.

Beautiful spot to park a bike.
Thanks Laura. This is one of my favorite local stops when I ride, especially on a hot summer day. It always manages to feel cooler by this little waterfall.
Nice water falls — beautiful area.
I’ve looked at Inn to Inn bicycle tours in Vermont and they really look like an excellent place to ride. You get to do a similar thing for free. 🙂
No waterfalls around here, unless you count Indiana’s highest waterfall at Williamsport which isn’t too far away.
I am lucky to live where I live now. I think people tend to take it for granted when they live in a beautiful area. I try not to do that.
Beautiful spot and water falls!
Thanks Suzanne!
Water really does soothe the soul. Kinda like chicken soup.
As long as it’s not a chicken soup waterfall…
That is very soothing, alright. I think for a counterpoint I should take a video down by the freeway.
You know, I thought a few times about recording traffic noise. It didn’t seem appealing somehow.
