As if having Covid wasn’t enough, today I also got a bad case of The Bends. No, this wasn’t the kind of bends you get from depressurization after deep sea diving. This was the kind of bends you get from too much searching for–and exposure to–bent objects. Here are some examples of what I had to deal with today:
A bend in a tree trunkA bend in the roadA bend in a gutterA bend in a guardrailA bend in the fairway (This kind of bend is a “dogleg” in the golfer lexicon.)A bend in the riverDeep knee bends

It’s not every day that a guy rides through a downtown back alley and sees Danny DeVito wavingat himfrom a window.
Hi. My name is Greg and I ride my bike a lot. That is to say, I ride my bike almost every day. I go on long rides and short rides. Sunny rides, cloudy rides, and rainy rides. I like commuting, errand-running, day-tripping, overnighting, and touring on my bike. I ride on city streets, highways, gravel, single track, and snow with equal enthusiasm. Sometimes I ride fast and sometimes I ride slow. I try to keep my feet on the pedals at stop lights and I do not dismount when I hop up on a curb. I have a roadie bike, a mountain bike and a touring bike. I try to accept any challenge a bike ride can throw at me without complaint. But I don't like bugs.

Very nice collection — no need to ‘bend’ the rules for any of those. 🙂

Danny Devito!!!!! 🙂 🙂
Good to see the Surly is getting some road time.
Greg, good to see you taking a deep dive into the challenge topics!
As I say — you are very bent. And Danny must think so too or why else would he be waving at you.
That picture of Danny is very cool!
