Who even knows what Brazilian Walnut is???? Let me rephrase that – I would not be able to identify Brazilian Walnut from any other wood/board. ?. Good ones Rich.
No, I wouldn’t know one wood from another either — the story about it called it Ipe — which translates to Brazilian Walnut.
Supposed to last a long long time, and the money spent on that trestle it had better!
Your post overwhelmed me with B’s. But I did notice a couple you missed: BEST BRAKE levers ever on the Centurion, and you could have called the trestle a “BRIDGE.”
Your pictures were great. It looks like spring is coming to Illinois–unlike Minnesota.
Those are some ‘old school’ brake levers — those particular ones date from ~ 1975.
You are correct, a trestle can also be called a bridge — after looking up the differences between bridges, trestles, and viaducts, Im more confused that ever. 🙂
