A file of mailboxes

One last submission for the Collection challenge: a file of mailboxes, on Sasabe Road. Sorry there’s no snow crowning them – that would be perfect for the season – but sadly, all we got was this almost hot sunny day. Darn.

I’m sure a lot of people would trade your ‘drab’ ride in the desert for whatever precip/temp combo they’ve got! Still looked like a nice ride from this side of the computer. With your time trial ride, it makes me wonder if that is a male/female thing or just a sprinter/endurance thing. I can’t say I’ve ever cared one bit about how fast I went, but if I were healthy and getting older… I’d want to try to see how FAR I could ride. I am so much more about distance rather than speed. Maybe being asthmatic is part of it – always best to keep to a level of exertion that doesn’t exacerbate that.
You’re right, of course. It was a nice ride, and we have no reason to complain about anything. We’ve gotten spoiled the last few weeks – we’ll, the last several years really – and are too damn picky.
Interesting question about speed vs distance. This is really a one-off idea for me, not something that usually interests me either. I’m not sure what got me to thinking or it – maybe when I first read about Marchand; or maybe it’s a morbid curiosity about tracking what I’m still capable of? Mostly though, I’m really in it for the experience.
Wow, that’s tough, a hot, sunny day.
I see some polygons, by the way.
Yes, it was tough; but we’re getting hardened to it. We think we’ll be blue to hold out a bit longer yet.
You’re right! There is a polygon or two in there. I’m going to change my focus a bit. I’m sure I’ll see them everywhere I look now.
