A Frosty Ride

In the afternoon it was around freezing but no snow, no wind, a bit of sun now and again, dry roads, foot warmers, hand warmers – I was game. The trees and ground were frosted, a beautiful scene. It was great to be out with my camera and I got my letters, too.

I stuck to a-sphalt for the most part.
A b-ull out to pasture
B-lades of grass
A b-ench
A derelict c-aravan
My d-erailleur
E-mpty
Dried Q-ueen Anne’s lace! Yay, Queen Anne’s lace was on my list and I found some.
Happy S-olstice! The sun came out just in time for me to get a picture of the longest shadows of the year.

Great frosty photos! We had some freezing fog overnight, makes for a fantastic scene.
The old caravan is a great photo — really like mobile homes of any size, used at an old hunting site maybe?
Long shadows here too, gonna go out in a few minutes and catch one in the noon day sun — just 26.5 degrees above the horizon, doesn’t get any lower than that here.
    Happy Solstice to you too!!

You must be right about the caravan. I never thought of that. There is a field on the other side of the trees and bushes, and that isn’t a place where abandoned cars and the like are just dumped.

Seems you are having weather similar to us, but no frost at this time. I was too focused on my Qs to think of other letters today. Ah well, I will find more at another time. Love your photos and the frost make it rather pretty ;’-).

Beautiful. I especially like the Queen Anne’s lace. But is it just the photo angle or is your derailleur really that close to the rim of your wheel? It doesn’t look like there’s much clearance.

Oh, that looks dangerously close to the rim. I’m pretty sure it’s the angle I took the picture from, though. I would have noticed it at some point. I need to lube that chain and will have a closer look.
