A little lake for the liquid challenge

Today Janos and I got out early, it was cool and there was even a bit of cloud cover when we left. After a coffee (for Janos) and a glass of orange juice (for me) in Cafe Münchner Freiheit, we circled through the English Garden and drank in the cool air. A great way to start the day. When it starts raining again – forecast for Thursday – we are going to be sorry that we were complaining about the heat.

Beautiful garden — I had to research why an English Garden would be in Germany — now I know the concept spread all over Europe vis a vis the formal symmetrical French garden.
My education continues — Thanks!!
Looking at Bing Images of the garden, it has some rather ‘interesting’ areas! 😉
Good researching, Rich. Interesting areas? You are probably referring to the nude sunbathing. It’s gone out of fashion, but it was a big thing in the 70’s and 80’s. There are still some birthday suit areas along the Isar, though. I imagine sitting on the stone banks of the river must be very uncomfortable. Anyway, it’s an idea for the liquid challenge.
Beautiful serine spot. Thanks Rich for the info…..
Lovely photo!
