A RIDE IN THE RAIN FOR BIRDY THINGS
First thing I know is that I want Rainlegs that Suzanne has mentioned along the way ;’-).
I knew I was taking a chance this morning and the light rain did not deter me… at first. It came and went periodically and kept me guessing. Soon however, I was beginning to get cold in the 44 degree rain soaked day.
Starting out was mild and light for a couple of finds.
A bird in the window…

Feather of a bird…

Back end of a bird house…

This was about when the rain picked up and I was debating returning home. I got fooled again as the rain lessened and I decided to ride through a few more neighborhoods.
Evidence of rain…

Soon the rain heavier and more consistent, and I was getting soaked and cold. Stopped one more time for this little bath…

And then I was done with taking my fingers out of their gloves. Too wet, too cold, time to head for home.

Thanks for braving the elements for us!
Anything for the team ;’-).
Rain and more rain here too — saying starting tomorrow (Sat) it should be warming up and drying out — we will see . . . .
Had plans to ride a State Park on Thursday — got rained out — I did photograph some geese. 🙂
I was kinda sorta aware that it is illegal to possess native bird feathers, which is why I left the hawk feather alone. (Id prolly win the Lottery before getting busted for feather possession) 😉
We here are very aware of no feather gathering and adhere to that quite well. Nice to see them, but no collecting. Same rain here — again today they say, so I am not sure to get out on my bike for a couple of days.
Glad you did it, you got great pictures, but it was probably type 2 fun. Rain legs help, but wet and cold hands remian a problem.
I have ordered Rainlegs ;’-). By the time they get here it may well be better weather, but there is always the future rain. Hands can be the issue and I have somewhat of a solution that I hope will work.
Great! I have a video for my next post showing me trying to put on my rain legs!
I will love to see that ;’-).
