A Roller
This is not about something that rolls; it’s about ME. I’m a ROCK & ROLLER from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and well into the first couple decades of the 2000’s. MY little suburb of the Twin Cities doesn’t get many rock concerts. That stuff is usually reserved for the big cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Somehow, MY Town attracted a couple of retro-bands for a riverside concert. When something like that happens, I feel obligated to ride my bike down there to check out the festivities. I’m too cheap to pay $35 for a ticket to see some old geezers playing old songs, though. I snuck around to the back gates to watch from behind the stage.

I left the area before the headliner (The Guess Who) took the stage. On my way out, a guy I hadn’t seen for a few years stopped me for a chat. He was one of the non-payers standing outside the gates. I explained my excuse was that that I had seen Foghat twice before, but that was in the 1970’s when a ticket to a concert cost something like $8.00.
“So, you’re just out for a ride, huh?”
“Yeah, a Slow Ride,” I responded. I thought it was a pretty funny Foghat-related joke.

Foghat!?! Man, oh man, that is a band I forgot all about a long time ago. But I do hear a Guess Who song on the radio occasionally. Rock on!
Great you had a good time listening — researching the phrase Rock n Roll can result in some interesting facts about it. 😉
Which in one instance would qualify for the challenge 😉 🙂
I vote that Rockin’ & Rollin’ counts for Greg’s post in the challenge ;’-).
