Before I make a post with a few more faces, I will tell you about this experience I had.
Yesterday was a warm one and the water in my camel back had warmed up quite a bit. So last night I tucked it into the garage fridge to start out with it quite cold and lasting that way longer on my ride today. Needless to say — I forgot it for my ride this morning, and did not realize that until 4 miles from home. There are no stores or restaurants anywhere so I started looking for friendly looking houses. Houses are also scarce along my route, but I spotted two people hovering over a 5th wheel RV in their driveway.
Long story short — I was saved by Marian who quickly found not one but four bottles of cold water for me. We had some nice conversation before I started on my way again. Now that I had water for intake, I soon needed some output! What to my wandering eye should appear in the nick of time…
ON WHEELS! The vineyard workers were apparently off from work today and fortunately the door was left unlocked. It was strange to feel movement under me as I stood and moved about the little that I could. There was also a hand washing station, but no water and since I carry my own sanitizer I did not try theirs.
This was such a “special” stop at such a needed moment that I just had to tell you about it. I thought Greg would especially like to know. ;’-).
