An implied bike?

So, good so far.  Our challengemaster is grudgingly cool with posts about someone else’s bike, and with toon bikes.  How about implied bikes?  This submission of a brown marmorated stink bug that hopped on the back of my bike during our lunch break on our ride to Bassano del Grappa surely will be greeted with enthusiasm.  After all, it’s even my bike!  You just can’t see it underneath my jacket.

And even if he doesn’t like the post on technical considerations, surely he’ll be happy to learn a new word.  Admit it – did any of you know that marmorated was a word?  And can you believe this cute little thing causes half a billion euros in damage to Italy’s fruit crop each year?

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

Thank you for the new word. You’re right. I, for one, had never seen the word “marmorated” before. But one time when I was hiking in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming I was “marmot-ated,” which is defined as being surrounded by a bunch of large mountain-dwelling rodents.

Marmot-ated I do have an idea about, marmorated, I did not (among a bazillion other words I have no idea what they mean).

Marmorated: “Having a marbled or streaked appearance.” TY Dictionary.com 🙂

Dunno if stink bugs here are marmorated or not, I guess they are?
One thing is certain, they do STINK if you mash one.

Got to admire a creature that’s first line of defence is to stink.
